Both national and international students need to have insurance to cover any medical expenses that result from accident or illness. Most national students will have provincial healthcare but for students coming from out of province, it is very important that you confirm the length of time that you will be covered by your provincial healthcare while studying in British Columbia.

International students have the option of purchasing medical insurance in their own countries or from Canadian providers. Although it may be less expensive to purchase insurance in your own country, one of the benefits of purchasing insurance from a Canadian provider is that many doctors and hospitals are able to bill the insurance company directly. Many international insurance companies require that the student pay for any treatment that is received and then they will be reimbursed for the allowable medical expenses.

At CTC, we can make it easy for you.  We can issue your policy right on campus and can have it begin on the day of your departure from your home country or Canadian province.  

Daily rates are very competitive in comparison to other plans at $2.00 Canadian funds per day.  We can offer you more reasonable rates than from purchasing directly from Guard.me.  You can have as many days/months as you like to suit your educational plan.
