WorldHost - Ambassador Workshop

This 3 hour workshop is an effective, affordable and engaging training session that will prepare dedicated volunteers to:

Deliver outstanding customer service during large scale events like the 2010 Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games.

Gain information about a special event or changing infrastructure that will take place in your community.

Create a powerful connection for visitors to your community.

Like all WorldHost seminars, this program has been designed by Tourism British Columbia and is delivered by certified CTC trainers.

This workshop encourages all participants to be enthusiastic ambassadors for their community, inviting all visitors to return.

This is an excellent general orientation training seminar for volunteers who would then go on to specific task training.

Training is divided into three sections: knowing more about the event, polishing customer service skills and learning about community resources.

The workshop kit includes the following:

  • workbook
  • name label
  • stress toy globe
  • WorldHost pin
  • WorldHost Ambassador Workshop Certificate.

Contact the College for upcoming training dates.

Please note, if you register at www.volweb.ca website, Tourism BC will subsidize 25% of your workshop fees.
