"Transfer" is defined as the awarding or recognition of credit by the receiving institution for course or program credit at the sending institution. The purpose of articulation is to provide increased transferability, mobility, efficiency and a seamless educational path for students. CTC students will save time and money because courses awarded transfer credits in programs already taken will enable them to pass over similar or same subjects in receiving Institutions. In real terms this means that students speed track their academic careers which will enable them to take advantage of wider and more global options in their individual career choices resulting in more customized opportunities and career aspirations.
Canadian Tourism College is pleased to offer transfer credits toward higher level Diplomas or Bachelor Degrees in Hospitality or Tourism Management in both private and public Universities and Colleges worldwide. It must be noted that students wishing to transfer into receiving institutions must meet the entry requirements of that particular institution. Having successfully completed a program or programs at Canadian Tourism College does not offer automatic acceptance of the receiving institution. Hawaii Pacific University - Students receive 50 credits towards the recommended degree in Business Administration with a major in Travel Industry Management. University of Phoenix - students will receive 24.5 transfer credits. International Hotel Management Institute (IMI) - students are eligible to enter semester 5 (1 year school + optional 4-6 month paid practicum). Douglas College - one year academic transfer into their Hotel and Restaurant Management Diploma which can then transfer to 14 receiving Universities and Institutes worldwide. Glion Institute of Higher Education - students can enter into semester 3 for the Associate Degree in Hospitality Administration. |
Vancouver Community College - Pending final agreement students will receive transfer credits and/or one academic yr exemption into the Hotel Management Diploma University Canada West - students can enter into the Bachelor of Commerce Degree and complete an additional 75 credit hours (25 courses) obtain the degree.
